“Some Folks Need Killing!” – Robinson’s History of Violent Rhetoric On Display In Latest Ad
A new ad released by Josh Stein for North Carolina highlights Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson’s history of violent rhetoric, including exclaiming from a church pulpit this summer that “some folks need killing!”
The ad features Robinson in his own words bragging about owning an AR-15 “in case the government gets too big for its britches,” and telling his supporters that he would “fill the backside of them britches with some lead.” Robinson has yet to apologize for or recant his repeated statements promoting violence.
“Mark Robinson’s own words make it clear: he would make the people of North Carolina less safe,” said Jeff Allen, campaign manager for Josh Stein for North Carolina. “While Josh Stein has spent his career protecting families and fighting crime, Mark Robinson promotes violence and ratchets up rhetoric that divides us. He is unfit to be Governor.”
