OVER THE WEEKEND: Josh Stein Continues Tour To Get Out The Vote, Highlights Vision For Safer, Stronger North Carolina

With fewer than 10 days until Election Day, Attorney General and Democratic gubernatorial candidate Josh Stein is touring the state encouraging North Carolinians to turn out and vote, and highlighting his vision for a safer, stronger North Carolina – an economy that works for everyone, strong public schools, safe communities, and personal freedoms that are respected and not attacked.

“Now is the time to seize the moment and come together to put hope over hate, decency over division, and competence over chaos,” said Attorney General and Democratic nominee for Governor Josh Stein. “I am so energized by the people who I’ve met across North Carolina working to shape the future of our state.”

On Friday, Josh joined former President Barack Obama and Governor Roy Cooper in Charlotte, to rally thousands of voters, outline what’s at stake in races up and down the ballot, and encourage them to finish strong and elect strong leaders in November.

On Saturday, Josh joined students in Durham as he celebrated and walked in the annual North Carolina Central University Homecoming Parade. He also made stops in Guilford and Mecklenburg counties, having one-on-one conversations with voters and volunteers to personally thank them for their support and urging them to make their way to the polls.

On Sunday, Josh joined Souls to the Polls at St. Paul Baptist Church, Reeder Memorial Baptist Church, and Ebenezer Baptist Church in Charlotte. He emphasized that every vote counts and urged voters to take advantage of early voting by bringing friends, family, and neighbors to the polls between now and Election Day.

Meanwhile at a campaign stop in Raeford, JD Vance accidentally gave a shoutout to Mark Robinson, saying, “I want to give a shoutout to — you guys have a great Lieutenant Governor.” He realized his mistake and quickly corrected, “Sorry, Mark isn’t here.”
