OVER THE WEEKEND: Josh Stein Continues Tour To Get Out The Vote For A Safer, Stronger North Carolina
With Election Day two days away, Attorney General and Democratic gubernatorial candidate Josh Stein spent the weekend rallying voters, supporting down-ballot candidates, and turning folks out to vote for a more positive, forward-looking vision for all of North Carolina.
“The clock is running out, and it’s time to seize the moment,” said Attorney General and Democratic nominee for Governor Josh Stein. “Now is the time to come together to put hope over hate, decency over division, and competence over chaos.”
On Friday, Josh met with voters in Hertford and Pitt Counties to highlight the final day of early voting and celebrate the work of local organizers to turn out the vote.
On Saturday, Josh visited Wilson County alongside Supreme Court Justice Riggs and House Candidate Dante Pittman, where he emphasized the importance of breaking the supermajority and restoring balance to North Carolina’s courts.
On Sunday, Josh continued Souls to the Polls in Fayetteville at First Baptist Church and Simon Temple AME Zion. He later traveled to Wilmington to encourage volunteers as they phone bank and knock doors across New Hanover County.
Meanwhile, news broke this week that in addition to being chronically absent from key duties, Mark Robinson “has sent only about 30 substantive emails” as Lieutenant Governor, making it “difficult to tell what the Office of Lieutenant Governor has focused on during his tenure.” As Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump visits North Carolina nearly daily, Robinson has not appeared with him once since CNN’s report that he called himself a “Nazi.”
