One Week From Primary Election Day, Josh Stein Rallies Voters Across North Carolina

One week from primary election day, Attorney General and candidate for Governor Josh Stein continues to rally voters and get out the vote across the state, underscoring his plans to build a safer, stronger North Carolina for every person.

Last week, Josh’s western swing brought him to communities in Lincolnton, Brevard, Asheville, and Shelby. At an event “attended by more than 200 people” in Brevard, he spoke about his work “fighting for the people of western North Carolina to be able to get good health care.”

On Sunday, Josh joined the parishioners of St. Joseph AME Church in Durham for a Souls to the Polls event, highlighting his priorities to “make sure this economy works for everyone, that our kids learn in good, strong public schools, and [that] we live in safe communities” before encouraging folks to make their voice heard at the ballot box. At St. Joseph, civil rights leader and keynote speaker Dr. Ben Chavis praised Josh and his family, saying, “it’s time for North Carolina to have a governor like Josh Stein.”

Yesterday, Josh traveled east to Washington to share his plans to “ensur[e] that our public schools really deliver for our young people” and that every North Carolinians has a fair shot “to get a good paying job or to start a small business, anywhere in the state including small towns, including Washington, North Carolina.”

Josh’s campaign continues to build momentum as national commentators call North Carolina “the nation’s top gubernatorial battleground.”
