On the Anniversary of the Dobbs Decision, Attorney General Stein Emphasizes Commitment to Protecting Reproductive Freedoms

On the second anniversary of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization ruling, Attorney General and Democratic nominee for Governor Josh Stein released the following statement:

“Two years ago, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, reversing precedent that had protected fundamental freedoms and been the law of the land for almost 50 years. Since then, Republicans in North Carolina have passed restrictive laws that make it harder for women to access care. As Attorney General, I’ve stood up for reproductive freedoms time and time again.

“Mark Robinson’s hateful rhetoric toward women and plans for a complete abortion ban without exceptions are wrong for North Carolina. Reproductive freedom is on the ballot this November, and it is up to all of us to stop his backward, anti-woman agenda from prevailing.”
