North Carolina State Employees Endorse Josh Stein for Governor

Today, EMPAC, the political arm of the State Employees Association of North Carolina, announced its endorsement of Attorney General Josh Stein for Governor. 

“Throughout his career in public service, Josh Stein has put people over politics, fought for state employees, and worked across the aisle to strengthen our state,” said EMPAC Statewide Chairman Mark Dearmon. “From fighting for raises for public servants to protecting consumers and their hard-earned money, he’s consistently shown up for working families. Josh Stein is the right choice for Governor of North Carolina, and the State Employees Association of North Carolina is proud to endorse his candidacy.”

As Governor, Josh Stein is committed to standing up for working families by investing in strong public schools, bringing more jobs to the state, bringing down the cost of health care, and investing in infrastructure like clean water and high-speed internet. He has also proposed a Working Families Tax Cut, which would help North Carolinians keep more of what they earn, lift children out of poverty, and strengthen local economies.
