Josh Stein Tours Barber Academy, Commits to Supporting Trade Skill Development

Today, Attorney General and Democratic nominee for Governor Josh Stein toured Just For You Barber/Styling Academy in Charlotte and learned from students and teachers about  people developing skills to pursue a career in the barber or styling field.

“I am inspired by the students I met today, who are dedicated to pursuing a meaningful career as barbers and stylists and providing for their families,”  said Attorney General and Democratic nominee for Governor Josh Stein. “As Governor, I will invest in apprenticeship programs and workforce development so that we can continue providing pathways to good-paying jobs for all North Carolinians.” 

In his campaign for Governor, Josh has traveled the state advocating for raising teacher pay, investing in career and technical education and workforce development programs, and instating a Working Families Tax Cut to put money back in the pockets of working North Carolinians. He is running for Governor to deliver on the promise of North Carolina – that where you come from should never limit how far you can go.
