Josh Stein Launches Farmers For Stein In Pitt County, Makes Stop In Lenoir County

Today, Josh Stein launched “Farmers for Stein” in Greenville and made a stop in Kinston on his “Real Time with Stein” listening tour.

In Greenville, Stein addressed a crowd of dozens of farmers and agricultural leaders regarding his work fighting for farmers as Attorney General and shared his priorities to ensure farmers across North Carolina are set up for success.

“Farmers are not only the backbone of North Carolina’s economy, but the backbone of a healthy society,” said Attorney General and candidate for Governor Josh Stein. “Far too often, farmers and others in agriculture are left behind. North Carolina deserves a Governor who is going to stand up for the agricultural community, and I am committed to doing just that.”

“I’ve known Josh for 25 years and I know personally that he gets up every morning and does everything he possibly can for the people of North Carolina,” said Pender Sharp, a fourth generation farmer in Wilson County. “If we elect Josh, we’re going to have a statesman that we can be proud of on the state, national, and international stage.”

“A zebra does not change its stripes. We know Josh has a proven track record of fighting for all North Carolinians,” said Phil Farland, former director of the North Carolina Farm Service Agency. “That’s what he’ll continue to do for farmers and families as our next Governor.”

Stein went on to Kinston to meet with voters, listen to their concerns, and get them excited about his race for Governor.
