Josh Stein Launches “Faith Leaders for Stein”

Today, Attorney General and Democratic nominee for Governor Josh Stein traveled to Rocky Mount to launch “Faith Leaders for Stein,” a coalition of faith leaders of diverse traditions committed to electing Josh Stein and building a safer, stronger North Carolina.  

“When I look around this room, I see a room that reflects North Carolina’s diversity and strength,” said Attorney General and Democratic nominee for Governor Josh Stein. “Each of you translates your love for God into love for his people because you know that we are all his children. And this broad coalition is how we will win this race.”

“Josh Stein is a person of faith. He’s a person of heart. And he’s a person of conviction,” said Word Tabernacle Church pastor and former state representative James Gailliard. “Because he values every single North Carolinian, he will fight for every single North Carolinian.” 

Josh was introduced by his rabbi, Lucy Dinner of Temple Beth Or, who spoke about Josh’s commitment to his faith and to public service. 

“Josh has been a dedicated member of our community since the 1990s, and he’s raised his family here at Temple Beth Or,” said Rabbi Dinner. “His faith drives his public service, and it’s an honor to stand beside him today.”

This year, Josh has also launched “Students for Stein,” “Farmers for Stein,” and “Women for Stein,” as part of his effort to build a strong coalition of supporters who are mobilizing their communities towards a more prosperous and inclusive future for North Carolina.
