Today, Josh Stein for North Carolina announced it raised nearly $2.2 million in the first seven weeks of 2024 and has $12.7 million cash-on-hand. This report builds on a record-breaking $5.7 million raised in the second half of 2023. With less than a week until the Primary Election, the campaign is in the strongest financial position of any gubernatorial campaign in North Carolina history at this point in the cycle.

“People across North Carolina are rallying behind Josh to fight for the future of the state,” said Jeff Allen, campaign manager for Josh Stein for North Carolina. “From defending reproductive freedom to standing up for public education, North Carolinians know what’s at stake, and they are fueling our fight to build a safer, stronger state for every person.”

As news coverage continues to call North Carolina “the nation’s top gubernatorial battleground” and the matchup one that “worr[ies] both national and North Carolina Republicans,” Josh continues to build a widespread coalition of North Carolinians that will help him win this race, including recently launching dedicated groups for students and farmers to organize their communities in support of Josh.
