Josh Stein for North Carolina Kicks Off “NC Strong” Tour In Raleigh, Pittsboro, & Greensboro
Today, Attorney General and candidate for governor Josh Stein kicked off his “NC Strong” tour at Shaw University with Governor Roy Cooper to rally voters about what’s at stake in the election – from defending women’s reproductive freedoms to protecting public schools — and to share his vision for a safer, stronger North Carolina.
“I’m running for Governor because I believe in the promise of North Carolina – that if you work hard, where you come from should never limit how far you can go,” said Josh Stein. “That promise is at risk right now in North Carolina. It’s up to us to deliver on that promise, and I’m ready to fight for it and fight for you. Please join us.”
“Josh Stein is ready to do this job and do it right,” said Governor Roy Cooper when introducing him. “He has the steady hand, the clear-eyed vision, and the servant’s heart to help make North Carolina stronger than ever.”
As the state’s top law enforcement officer, Josh is committed to keeping North Carolinians safe. In Chatham County, he met with Sheriff Roberson and other law enforcement officers for a roundtable discussion on how they can work together to strengthen partnerships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
He closed the day in Greensboro at the Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship for a conversation with business leaders on how the state can expand economic opportunity and better serve minority-owned businesses.
Josh launched his “NC Strong” tour about one year out from Election Day to reach voters across the state and share his vision for a safer, stronger North Carolina. Throughout the tour, he’ll hear from North Carolinians about the issues that matter to them, including lowering costs and increasing economic stability for middle class families, investing in public schools and workforce training programs, and building safe communities.
