Governor Andy Beshear Joins AG Stein’s “Real Time with Stein” Tour, Rallies Voters in Chatham County
Yesterday, Attorney General and Democratic nominee for Governor Josh Stein traveled to Pittsboro as part of his “Real Time with Stein” tour. Stein was joined by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear.
During the visit, Stein and Beshear, who previously worked together as Attorneys General, emphasized the importance of bipartisan leadership and building consensus to move North Carolina forward. With less than two months until Election Day, they stressed the need to get out and vote for candidates who will create economic opportunity in all corners of the state, protect public schools, build safe communities, and defend fundamental freedoms.
“Everywhere I’ve traveled, people are clear-eyed about the choice North Carolina is facing in this election – the chance to move our state forward rather than backward,” said Attorney General and Democratic nominee for Governor Josh Stein. “I am grateful for their confidence and determined to deliver on their priorities – from creating more good-paying jobs to securing their freedoms.”
“Attorney General Stein has spent his entire career fighting for the people of North Carolina,” said Governor Andy Beshear. “North Carolina is at a crossroads this election, and I know the voters will see through Mark Robinson’s divisiveness and elect Josh Stein as their next Governor.”
Throughout his campaign, Josh has built a broad-based coalition of North Carolinians, connected with voters in small towns and big cities, and shared his vision for a safer, stronger North Carolina. As Governor, he will focus on bringing Republicans and Democrats together to deliver on the promise of North Carolina – that where you come from should never determine how far you can go.
